As we head towards Labor Day, I've been asked to post some pictures of our summer. For 4th of July we rented a 1930's cottage in Palm Springs. Why (you ask) Palm Springs in July? Because the surface of the sun was sold out! Seriously, we like it. We had a great pool & patio. In the foreground is a firepit which (to no one's surprise) we didn't need to use.

During the heat of the day we came indoors and played Uno, Skipbo orMonopoly. When I was a kid, we never finished a game of Monopoly, because one of us would cry. Some things never change - this game ended with tears! I won't say who cried...
