October 2009

Dan's nephew Evan Kendall married longtime girlfriend Beth Watson in October and we were lucky enough to get to Georgia for the festivities. Here is a picture of them when they visited us in Los Angeles in May 2008...

The night before the wedding we had a fun family dinner. Here is E.P. living it up with his sister Jean...
Dan's sister Julie and niece Kendall Harris wrestling to see who gets the napkin...
And then the wedding!

I'm embarrassed to say I never got a photo of Beth (!!!), so with permission from the Rome, GA News & Tribune, here is her photo from the engagement annoucement!
Dan & his sister Linda

Linda, Kendall & Savannah. This could make a potent country music act. We'll call it "Kendall and the Kendalls"

Dan's nephew Harper and girlfriend Michelle...Kendall, Aunt Jean and that damn-fine looking man...

Evan & Beth are a couple after Dan's heart - big-time sports fans! He had to get his picture with the Bachelor's cake...Go Falcons!

Here we are with Dan's brother & sister-in-law Scott & Christine.
Dan's nephew and male model Brandon...
Dan's first nephew Matthew...

For a guy who dislikes dressing up, E.P. sure takes a great picture!

The day after the wedding we visited the Frazers. Here's Vickie with us on her front porch...

SBK and CCK with Vickie's son Pete. In a few years, I'll bet they're sitting a lot closer to each other...

Back in California. This is just one of those pictures that shows up on your camera. Nobody knows how it got there....
As our summer garden gives way to a winter garden of lettuce, broccoli and spinach, the last of the summer crop is ripening. We had several 20-30 lb watermelons...
and a tasty crop of carrots, peppers, roma and grape tomatoes...

I'm sure you can make up your own caption for this...
With our success in the garden, we decided to be farmers for the neighborhood Halloween party. Frankly the costume wasn't that much of a stretch!
Savannah created a character - Miss Bess Lightyear and designed the costume. She & Lesli picked out materials and sewed the costume from scratch...
and here is the cutest pirate that ever brandished a cutlass...
Next up: our trip to Sequoia National Park and Thanksgiving in San Diego!
