Grown-ups-only Ski Trip

Our annual 'grown-ups only' ski trip merrily moved to Mammoth Mountain this year courtesy of the Glassbergs and their new condo in Mammoth Lakes. Joined by Noam & Rachel, we had a zesty trip! And boy, did we get plenty of snow...
Our home away from home was oh-so-comfortable! Here Noam teaches Lesli & Rachel how the rug really ties this room together...

Our hosts, Stefanie (aka 'Bodie') and Ed (aka'Spiderman') Glassberg...

'Grown-ups' is loosely interpreted when you get these couples together, and Ed (by far the best skier of the bunch) quickly set the tone by falling. And falling. On the trail. Off the lift. Off a cat-walk. Hell, I think he had his boots on backwards. Here is Spiderman, picking himself up after another, legendary tumble...
Lesli (aka 'Helen Skis') created protruding pigtails, making it easy to find her in the near-white-out conditions...

As if fourteen feet of snow wasn't enough, it snowed another 26 inches during one 24-hour period. Here it is, coming down at the Canyon Lodge with our group in the background...
Friday night we went to a restaurant to see if we could behave in public. It started out nice - here is a lovely photo of Lesli with 'Our Special Lady Friend' (aka Rachel)... Like our skiing, the evening went downhill from there...
Ed managed to take a picture of us looking somewhat civilized...
and as soon as Ed entered the picture we quickly put our drinks down (??)...

More snow came down on Saturday requiring head-to-toe coverage. Somewhere under the helmet, scarf, and jacket is a grinning Noam (aka 'Dude') The storm cleared out Sunday, giving us an absolutely unforgettable send-off...

If you look closely, you can see Ed falling off the cliff pictured below. Okay, not really, but he really did fall there! It is rare that ski conditions can actually measure up to the epic fun we have whenever we get together, and this was just such an occasion!
